About Me

I'm currently serving as a high school principal in Alabama after a two-year retirement stint where I got to serve as a consultant and character coach for PK-12 schools. My journey has been interesting, as I have been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal, and not always in that order.

I am passionate about leadership, culture, and teaching & learning.
I believe in the power of a team, and I try to join or create a team when I can because I know that I do my best work when I am part of one. I pull for the underdog, believe that we all have to fail our way to success, and know that every child needs at least one adult on whom they can depend.

I created The Compelled Educator to help teachers and leaders find meaningful resources for personal and professional well-being, growth, and development.

What do I bring to the table? I bring encouragement, coaching, a “just do it” philosophy, and a desire to help others be the best that they can be.

I believe in YOU!
